Thursday Afternoon Yoga for Tennis Players with Leslie Eckle

Yoga has so many benefits that will compliment your tennis skills both physically and mentally.   This class is created with you, the tennis player, in mind.   This all-levels strength and stretch class will build strength from your inside out.  Strength in your legs, shoulders and core that will add power to your swing. Strength that will create a more balanced center for you, with a greater range of motion that can help reduce the risk of injury. Mental strength that will help you see what is right in front you, presence.  Stretch that opens everything up, including your mind... AND it's fun! 

 I have been practicing and teaching yoga for far longer than I have been playing tennis and I can't tell you the amount of times Toby, Steve or Dipesh have taught a clinic and said my own yoga teaching words to me ONLY applied directly to tennis.  I am so excited to share this practice with the LJ tennis program.  I hope you'll join me!

Time: Thursday 1pm-2pm

This 60 minute Vinyasa class will leave you feeling better inside and out.Yoga builds physical and mental strength, increases flexibility and body awareness, while creating endurance.  You do not need to be able to touch your toes to do yoga, come as you are, come as you are not, bring a little willingness and little possibility. We'll have fun creating a yoga practice that benefits you!

Parents go out for a nice dinner or relax at home while we have some fun!

Drop your kids by for a night of Pottery, Painting, and Pizza! Cheaper than a babysitter and so much fun! The Mad Platter Instructors will bring a variety of Fall and Halloween pottery pieces for your children to choose from. They will get to paint 1 piece for the evening.

*Pieces will then be glazed and fired and will be ready for pick up at Mad Platter the following Friday*

JR Swim Team Coach Application Deadline

We welcome the talent and energy of our Junior Coaches at Lake Jeanette!

If your swimmer would like to help promote Lightning Pride, mentor younger swimmers, learn valuable coaching skills and contribute to the team, please encourage them to apply. Junior Coach applicants must be at least a rising high school Junior and a registered Lightning swimmer. Junior Coaches will help on deck at afternoon practices from 5/28-6/10 (Monday-Friday 4:30-6:30 at Turnstone), summer practices from 6/11-7/3 (Monday-Friday 8:30-10:30 at Lakeside and 4:30-6:30 at Turnstone) and swim meets.

Applicants should apply to be a Junior Coach to Coach Kevin at coachkevin@ljclub.com on or before 4/1/19.

Please include a brief statement of purpose (why do you want to coach) and your daily availability to coach at practices and meets
